Spaces: Interior and Exterior

This invitational and juried group exhibit was held in the Second Floor Gallery from May 5th through the 28th, with an opening reception First Friday, May 5th, 5-9 PM.

The exciting range of interpretations of this theme included the interior or exterior space of: people, objects, architecture, landscapes and imaginary realms. This exhibition theme was chosen to coincide with the annual American Institute of Architects national conference that was held in this year in Philadelphia.

The Studio invited prominent clay artists, each of whom they felt represented an integral aspect of the theme. These artists are as follows: Dan Anderson, Christine Bertoni, Christine Federighi, Robert Harrison, Paul Heroux, Wayne Higby, Karen Koblitz, Ann Mortimer, Philip Soosloff, Steve Welch, Yih-Wen Kuo, Robert Winokur, Paula Winokur and John Woodward.

The jury for the second section consisted of painter Sydney Goodman, art critic and writer Robin Rice, and ceramic and fiber artist Jeanne Jaffe. The juried artists include: Megan Bergstrom, Erik Bright, Jeffrey Chapp, Sara D'Alessandro, Caroline Gibson, Sandra Ginter, Marlene Jack, Dongjoo Kang-Suh, Robert Kirsch, Donna Lynn Larkin, Ceil Leeper Sturdevant, Patrick Mateescu, Avra Moskowitz, Carrie Anne Parks, Dirk Staschke, Carlo Sammarco, Etta Winigrad and Julie York.
