Inspired by the work in our concurrent show, ReInvented, and the ancient technologies on view in the Terracotta Warriors exhibition at the Franklin Institute, our gallery will invite visitors to try out ancient and cutting-edge clay processes, ranging from traditional mold forming techniques to 3D modeling computer programs and a working 3D printer.

Digital Demonstration in the Gallery
Tyler Schradnt, ceramic graduate student at Tyler School of Art, will demonstrate his 3D printer (which "prints out" clay in thin coils) as part of the Reinventing Clay exhibition. Join us and watch a clay vessel grow before your eyes!
