The works of Brett Freund and Edgar Franceschi involve, in their own specific ways, the exploration of edges, from both a sculptural and graphic perspective. Both artists combine image and object, responding to the gray areas between the two. Art Historical references rub shoulders with pop and material culture.
Brett Freund received his MFA from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and was awarded the Lormina Salter Fellowship from Baltimore Clayworks.
He exhibits nationally in the United States and was chosen as 2012 Emerging Artist by Ceramics Monthly.
Actively involved in the arts in New York City for the last four decades,Puerto Rican-born Edgar Franceschi has worked in a number of mediums: painting, sculpture, theater design, ceramic and printmaking, among others. He has exhibited widely in both group and solo exhibitions.
