Saturday, November 5, from 10am-1pm outside at Smith Memorial Playground. Demonstrations and take-home kits will be set up on their wrap-around porch and immediately in front of the Playhouse. Up to 100 kids will be accommodated each hour. Enjoying the playhouse and playground will also be encouraged!

Magic Garden Virtual Event: Clay Animals
Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens includes hundreds of Mexican folk art objects that were collected or commissioned by PMG creator Isaiah Zagar. Our current exhibition Hecho en México/Made in Mexico highlights work by many of the folk artists we love. To celebrate, we are partnering with The Clay Studio. Learn how to create animal sculptures using simple techniques and self-drying clay.

CraftNOW Create Virtual Event!
Craft steps out of the studio and into the hearts of Philadelphians with CraftNOW Create! Together, we will learn how to make monster heads in clay, dragonflies in wood, Swedish holiday gnomes and more. Activities are presented by the American Swedish Historical Museum, The Center for Art in Wood, The Clay Studio, Fabric Workshop and Museum, Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, University of the Arts and Wild Hand. Most projects are ideal for elementary-aged students.
