I grew up outside of Philadelphia and earned my Master’s in Social Work in 1996. After graduating, I moved to Center City Philadelphia and began working as a social worker. Around the same time, I started continuing education classes in ceramics at the University of the Arts—and I was hooked.

More than 25 years later, I still love playing in the mud and creating pieces that people can use in their homes. Working with clay isn’t just about the finished product; it’s about the entire process. At every stage, I see progress, discover something new, and continue to learn. That sense of experimentation and growth is what keeps me in awe of clay to this day.
