Ellen studied fashion illustration, design, and photography at Moore College of Art and Parsons School of Design.
She worked as as a creative director, photographer, and book designer in New York City for over 40 years. These years were spent in leadership roles at Ralph Lauren, the Fashions of the New York Times, and Martha Stewart Weddings magazine. Her work as a creative director spurred another career as a professional fashion photographer. Ellen photographed for Vogue, The New York Times, Victoria Secret, J Crew, Bloomingdales, and Geoffrey Beene. Ellen also designed books for Ina Garten, Arthur Elgort , and Martha Stewart.
Ellen return to an interest sparked in the third grade when she attended Saturday ceramic classes at Cranbrook in Michigan where Ellen was a native. Ellen later continued her ceramic studies a few years later (2017) at Greenwich House and BKLYN CLAY where she developed a love of hand building that has not waned. Ellen is a proud mother, sister, friend, and lucky PA tax payer.
